Use of cookies

Our website uses so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small files containing information that are stored on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when you visit a website and are generally used to improve the design and effective use of internet websites. Some cookies (session cookies) are automatically deleted after the browser is closed, others (permanent cookies) are archived on the respective device until a certain expiration date or until your browser’s cache is emptied and enable us to identify you as a repeat visitor to our website. Some cookies are also stored by approved third party providers (third party cookies or tracking cookies). These record the number of page views, the time spent on the website and the path a user has taken determined by the links clicked. This data is subsequently used for analysis and marketing purposes.

Cookie settings on your device

When you visit our website for the first time, you will be notified about the use of cookies. If you continue with your visit, you agree to the use of standard cookies on the website. We use cookies from Google Analytics (see also the following section “Use of Google Analytics”).

However, before proceeding, you may also change the cookie settings. To do this, please go to the section on “Right to objection and settings” on this page and follow the explanations there.

Use of Google Analytics

Based on our legitimate interests, this website uses the “Google Analytics” service, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”), to optimise and analyse our online services within the meaning of Article 6 para. 1 point f) of the GDPR. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If you activate IP anonymisation on this website, Google will, however, truncate your IP address prior to this within European Union member states or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there in exceptional cases. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to render other services related to website use and Internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser in connection with Google Analytics will not be merged with other data by Google.

Further information on terms of use and data protection can be found at

http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and

http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html. We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been given the extension code “ga(‘set’, ‘anonymizeIp’, true);” in order to guarantee the anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

Right of objection and settings

You can prevent or accept the storage of cookies or request to be notified whenever new cookies are stored on your computer by adjusting the relevant settings of your browser software. We would like to point out, however, that in the event that you prevent the storage of cookies on your computer you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the transmission of data (including your IP address) generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link.http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

As an alternative to the browser plug-in or for browsers on mobile devices, please click the following link to set your cookie preferences to prevent Google Analytics from collecting cookies from this website in the future. These cookie settings will only work in the browser used and only for this domain. During this process, an opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you must click this link again.

Use of Google AdWords

As an AdWords customer, we also use Google Conversion Tracking, an analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”), to optimise and analyse our online services within the meaning of Article 6 para. 1 point f) of the GDPR. If you have reached our website via a Google advertisement, Google Adwords will store a cookie on your computer (“conversion cookie”). These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification purposes. If you visit certain pages on our site and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google are able to detect that someone has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to our website. Every AdWords customer receives a different cookie. This means that cookies cannot be traced via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The AdWords customers can see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were directed to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that could allow users to be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse to set a cookie that is required for this purpose – for example by setting your browser to generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies. You can also disable Conversion Tracking cookies by disabling the Ads Preferences Manager in your Google account settings yourself.
